It's everywhere... the internet, computers technology, software, massive amounts of information at your fingertips.
Children have such a natural penchant and ability to pick up on all of this learning technology.
And there are some excellent children's educational software programs available to you for at home teaching, that quite frankly, you would be at a disadvantage not find and use those that fit and comply with your philosophies and values. Even many of today's children's toys provide and excellent learning experience, with many of the basic thought and motor skills that children need to develop.
For most of us, as your children grow and get older they will develop a curiosity if not an interest in computers and the technology that surrounds them. Be very purposeful in your use educational software when it comes to teaching your children at home. Stick to your schedule and a well balanced lesson plan. Don't allow yourself to become �lazy' with your teaching approach and your enthusiasm by relying too much on computer software.
Learning technology is all around us and certainly a part of our daily lives as well as our children's. Using the technology as an aid to your overall teaching approach can provide for an enhanced educational experience for a multitude of subjects. Take the time to review any children's educational software you may be considering to ensure it fits your plans. Remember to stick to the scheduled times that you want to use the programs and you will enjoy the added benefits of the software.
