Women not only suppose their husbands to work 8-12 hours per day to back up their efforts, women want them to come back home from work and educate a few subjects, show family dedication, discipline the kids, and even do some cooking and housework.
However, there exists a problem when we read articles or listen to seminars about what a “perfect” homeschool dad should do, and then become indignant of our husbands, or worse - try to oblige them into a role that doesn’t fit. We wouldn’t welcome having our husbands hold us to someone else’s standards.
Our husbands have honored us by charging us with their children’s education, and we in turn should honor them.
So here are represented 10 ways to honor homeschooling dads:
• Try to understand your husband. What are his like and dislikes? What are his precedence for you and the children? Ask your husband about thing he prefers, and try to manage your home in order to please him.
• Try to care about your husband’s anxieties, and mind not to underestimate them. Our husband’s thoughts may seem insignificant to us, but they often have desert.
• Just let him get concerned without claiming that he does things your way. However don’t try to convince him to help if he has not an interest. Not each and every homeschooling dad will want to teach formal lessons.
