Motivations to Home School
  6. Convictions of parents. Some parents think that education of their children is their moral imperative and nobody will do it better except them. Others would like to spend more time with their children. Some parents are sure that it is better for their children to communicate mostly with adults rather than with peers.

7. Lack of individual attention. It is especially difficult to accommodate children with different learning abilities. Some are learning more slowly, others more quickly in different subjects. Besides in public school children have little time for individual attention as every group consists of nearly 30. As a result, sometimes they do not understand the material because they are not able to ask everything unclear for them.

8. Spending more time as a family. Homecoming allows parents to spend more time with their children when they are rested and fresh rather than tired and cranky from school.

9. Forming positive personal features. Home schooled children learn to help more with house holding developing a sense of personal responsibility. They also learn life skills, such as cooking, naturally, just spending time with adults who are engaged in those activities.

10. The best way for children with special needs. Home education is principally beneficial for any child who, for different reasons, does not fit in the ordinary school system. This is the best way of education for children who have special educational needs.

The irresistible success of the home school is evident, in part, by the large number of parents who have maintained total responsibility for the education of their children. According to the recent survey of National Center for Education Statistics more than 1.1 million children were home schooled. 31 percent cited the negative school environment including safety, drugs and negative peer pressure as their main reason to home school. It is a valid argument. At home there are no bullies, no drugs and no guns.
A close second, at 30 percent of decided to home school their children because of religious reasons.
17 percent of the parents interviewed say they home school their children because of the dissatisfaction of the academic quality of public schools.
