The Social Learner

social_learnerChildren of a strong social style communicate well with people, both verbally and non-verbally. People listen to them or come to them for advice. They are sensitive to their motivations, feelings or moods. They listen well and simply understand other’s views. They enjoy mentoring or counseling others.

They typically prefer learning in groups or classes or like to spend much time only with a teacher or an instructor. They heighten their learning by bouncing their thoughts off other people and listening to how they respond. They prefer working through issues, ideas and problems with a group. Such children often methodically enjoy working with a synergistic group of people.

Children of a social style prefer to stay around after class and talk with others. They also prefer social activities, rather than doing their own thing. They like games that involve other people, such as card games and board games. They also enjoy team sports such as football or soccer, basketball, baseball, volleyball, baseball and hockey.

Some examples of pursuits that children with a strong social style may follow include counseling, teaching, training and coaching, sales, politics, human resources, and others.
