If your child has a good sense of rhythm, likes singing and playing a musical instrument, he or she is an auditory learner. Look through the information about learning techniques for auditory learners.

The Auditory Learner

auditory_learning_girlIf the child is an auditory learner he or she has a good sense of pitch and rhythm. Such children can naturally sing, play a musical instrument, or identify the sounds of different instruments. Certain music rises in child strong emotions.

The auditory  learners often notice the music playing in the background of movies, TV shows and other media. They often find themselves humming or tapping a song or jingle, or a theme or jingle pops into their head without prompting. Some are playing, conducting, or composing music, and sound engineering.

  Learning techniques
If a child is an auditory learner parents should use sound, rhyme, and music in their learning. They also should focus on using auditory content in their association and visualization.

It is recommended for parents to use sound recordings to give a background and help their children get into visualizations. For instance, they can use a recording of an aircraft engine running normally, playing loudly via a headset, to practice flight procedures. The recording of the sound of wind and water when visualizing sailing movements can be helpful.
