  Home schooling has been the fastest growing educational alternative around the world for the last several years. According to the National Home schooling Research Institute, the amount of home schooling families increases from 15-25% every year.

There is sometimes a conviction that only wealthy people can afford themselves home education. Actually all types of families from all social classes, with different financial situations, religious and philosophical convictions can home school their children. Some single parents home school their children combining their work outside the home. There are many national home schooling support groups for Mormons, Catholics, Jews, Moslems and many others. The only thing that unites these unlike families is the belief that home education is the best way of education for their children.

During the recent public opinion poll nearly 5400 home schooled children from 1660 families were interviewed. As a result it was noted that three dominant occupational groups of home schooling fathers were accountant or engineer (it is nearly 17.2 percent); professor, doctor, or lawyer (17 percent); and small-business owner (10.8 percent). Nearly 87.7 percent of mothers have chosen to stay at home intending to teach their children and become the housewife. According to the survey two principal kinds of home schooling families can be singled out as ideologues and pedagogues.
